Description
This foot will fit old Singer sewing machines with a slanted bar that the snap-on adaptor or screw-on feet attach to. If you aren't sure if this will fit your machine, check out our list of compatible sewing machines or the sewing machine feet guide on our sewing tutorial page.
This sewing machine foot is designed for use with more difficult to sew with fabrics such as leatherette, vinyl or fur, or stretch fabrics, or for sewing multiple layers of thin fabrics together. As you sew on a sewing machine, the feed dogs pull the fabric through from underneath. The walking foot works by connecting with the needle bar. It allows the whole presser foot to move as the needle lifts up and down, creating a second set of feed dogs above the fabric which move at the same speed as the feed dogs below. This means that the fabric is being moved forward from above and below at the same time which reduces the chance of friction stretching or shifting the fabric (which often results in the top fabric being stretched more than the bottom fabric so that stretch seams no longer line up, or quilt piecing gets pulled out of position) or for sticky fabrics like vinyl getting stuck. So this versatile foot can make a big difference in a large range of sewing projects.

Our fabrics are all hand cut with care, never torn.
We recommend that all of our fabrics are washed at 30°c or below to improve fabric durability and colour vibrancy.
